Childcare in the Community
Childcare in the Community are a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (OSCR) governed by members of the Management Committee who are the trustees of the organisation. Childcare in the Community have been responding to the local need for flexible childcare in our Nursery, Out of School Cares, Holiday Clubs and our Mobile Creche since 2003.
Here at Childcare in the Community we offer a diverse range of childcare qualifications, SVQ's, Skills for Work and individual CPL courses.
Childcare in the Community strive to support the Scottish Government’s vision on Scotland to be the best place for children to grow up in.
Nursery
Registered with The Care Inspectorate and inspected by Education Scotland we care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We are also in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council to provide funded places for children age 0 - 2 years and 3 - 5 years.
Our Nursery is based in Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre, within walking distance of the families we support.
Out of School Care
Registered with The Care Inspectorate for children from school age to 16 years. Based in Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre and Burnbank Family Centre.
Children and young people can choose from a variety of play spaces and resources. Play that promotes children’s emotional, physical and social wellbeing, developing their creative abilities while interacting with other children and making friends.
Holiday Club
Registered with The Care Inspectorate for children from school age to 16 years.
Our Holiday Club provides a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where children have an opportunity to take part in self directed play, meet new friends and explore the wonders of nature within different environments, while experiencing the outdoors in differing weathers.
SVQ Training Academy
Qualification Scotland approved, (formally SQA) to deliver a range of SVQ childcare qualifications, skills for work and Food Hygiene (REHIS)
We believe great practice starts with people who care. Our role is to guide and inspire the next generation of practitioners to bring that same passion and purpose into their work.
Mobile Creche
Registered with The Care Inspectorate for children from birth to 16 years.
Our Mobile Creche services support adult education and parenting groups in the local and surrounding areas. Crèche staff work alongside families attending courses, workshops, celebrations and events. We create a nurturing environment where children can play and they are warmly welcomed.
