^{Childcare in the Community was opened in June 2003 and has been providing childcare in the Hamilton and Blantyre areas since. Childcare in the Community is a voluntary not for profit organisation.}

It is the aim of Childcare in the Community to work closely with parents/carers to encourage the development of their child

We aim to provide a safe, secure environment for children to participate in new and exciting experiences

Here at Childcare in the Community we aim to make the most of our outside space, together with local places of interest

We aim to provide a team of qualified childcare workers who are offered ongoing training for all staff to further develop their skills.

Our Objectives

To take account of each child’s individual needs, respecting their own routines and interest

To encourage children’s participation in all areas of the curriculum.  Listening to what they say and valuing their contributions.

To develop each child’s individual skills and knowledge, encouraging them to reach their full potential

To work as partners with parents/carers in an open and honest way, respecting that they are experts in their own children

To have an involvement with the local community and to teach the children to respect their surroundings and environment

To maintain safe working procedures amongst staff and children

To use outdoor spaces to enable the children to experience risk in a controlled environmentTo support staff training, enabling them to develop skills and confidence in all aspects of their chosen career.
